I've been playing disc golf for about 2 years now, in the beginning it was just a hobby, but the last 10 months have been quite busy. A year ago I moved to the Netherlands and started playing more here and took it up as more than just a hobby. I looked for a local club to go to the competitions they organise and already in the first season I'm in the top 10 players in the north of the Netherlands. Unfortunately, as the sport is not yet so widespread in the Netherlands, there are as many tracks to play on as there are major cities in the Netherlands, so quite few. In this case, my opportunities for development are limited as it is not financially possible to travel across the Netherlands as often as I would like. If I had that opportunity, I would be able to prepare myself for the Dutch championship next year and fight for the title there. If all of this were to succeed, or come close to it, then the European outlook would also be bigger and I would be able to move forward faster than at the moment.
