Description

It's about a European youth basketball tournament in October 2022 in Hamburg and participation in the 2022/23 Europe Youth Basketball League (EYBL). Especially in times of military conflicts, it is important to promote international encounters, to bring young people together across cultural borders and to compete at the highest level in a fair competition. A year ago, the NTSV Wildcats were accepted into the EYBL because of their consistently exceptional performances (see below) and high level of play. After tournaments in Slovakia and Hungary, the Wildcats are now entering their second season and have the honorable duty of organizing a tournament themselves.

In 2014, Coach25 (Nyaradzai Ngwerume) took over the U9 basketball team from Niendorfer TSV.

It will be the NTSV "Wildcats", a close-knit community that will become Hamburg champions as U12, U14. In the youth basketball Bundesliga (JBBL) no new teams were admitted in 2021 due to the corona.

Admission to the EYBL enabled the Wildcats to compete with other teams at the highest sporting level and to further develop their potential.

They finished their first season in EYBL as one of the "Teams of the Season".

This was followed by the Hamburg Championship 2022, the qualification for the North German Championship (undefeated), the North German Championship (undefeated) and at the end of the season the coronation: German Cup Winner of the U16!

For the first time, the German cup winner comes from Hamburg after they defeated Gießen and the Oberpfalz team in TOP3.

As a participant in the EYBL, the team is obliged to organize a tournament in the second year. A wonderful opportunity for Hamburg to present itself on the European map of youth basketball and to make Hamburg known as an important place for basketball.

This requires a lot of enthusiasm (is there), a lot of commitment (is there), many volunteers (is there), but also money. Lot of money!

There are 8 top European teams to be accommodated (hotel), fed (catering for approx. 150 people and four days) and the tournament organized (shuttles from the hotel to the hall, referees, judges, scouting, live streaming , Etc.).

We are urgently looking for good sponsors or donors for the total tournament budget (€ 26,000.00) and offer advertising space, publicity and becoming part of an extraordinary project.
