Thomas Pratsch

At the end of last year I took on the project of pursuing the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024 and have been fighting for my dream ever since. I swam quite successfully at the national level during my youth and then unfortunately had to stop due to an injury. However, swimming never let go of me and now I've taken heart again. At the age of 34 and as a self-employed software engineer, I initially have the odds stacked against me and my project, and more doors shut in my face than I can count. But these are not factors that should and will stop me from pursuing my goal. Of course I need the right environment, sponsors and, above all, the right training conditions that enable me to get the best out of myself and prove to everyone, that old men can swim fast and age is just a number.

All sponsorship goes towards reaching the Olympics. Training camps, travel and accomodation for competitions, training environment, coaches, nutrition, physical therapy.
