Ellen Weir

I have competed for Great Britain twice so far at the European U20 athletics Championships (5,000m) and European U20 cross country championships. At the European Athletics Championships I came 12th in the A final and at the European Cross Country Championships I came 14th and was 2nd Briton helping the team to bronze medals (for both of these competitions I was bottom year). I also finished runner up in both the English National Cross Country and the UK cross country championships. My current PBs are 16:34.6 for the 5,000m and 9:36.4 for the 3,000m.

Over lockdown with a lack of competition and group training I have worked hard and made large improvements to reach these levels and will continue to work hard in order to keep improving my athletics and reach my goals.

My short term goal is aiming to qualify for the World Junior Athletics Championships in Columbia this Summer and longer term I hope to continue to compete at this level and then go on to achieve senior international vests. 

I feel with some support would really help me to make this happen!
