In September 2023 I will compete in the Mini Transat, a solo ocean race over 4,000 nautical miles across the Atlantic Ocean, unassisted, on a 21’ sailboat.  This extreme adventure takes place every other year departing from France with about 90 boats and finishes in the Caribbean. 

I invite you to join this professional sailing campaign as a sponsor for broad exposure nationally and internationally.  Furthermore, sponsorship will help promote my mission to raise awareness for U.S. Patriot Sailing.  This non-profit organization supports the veteran community navigate the hardships of transition to civilian life, rehabilitation after injury, and the complex life challenges associated with combat deployments. The organization accomplishes its mission by welcoming veterans back onto a winning team, provides camaraderie, a sense of mission accomplishment, and new dynamic experiences through the sport of sailing.

Less than two years ago, I transferred off active duty after serving in the Marine Corps for ten years as an intelligence officer.  I transitioned into the reserves to pursue a new mission. After two seasons training in France, and over 7,400 nautical miles later, I am the only American qualified with guaranteed entry for the upcoming Mini Transat. 

U.S. Patriot Sailing was there for me when he needed it most and now I am giving back to this team through outreach to increase awareness, seek donor support, and help new veterans by bringing them on to this winning team.  The ultimate goal is to support more veterans through sailing and continue to grow this non-profit team.
