Description
Firstly a bit about me I am a 23 year old Male professional Fencer living in London and part of the GB senior sabre squad. I have dedicated my life to this sport and to representing my country since I was 7 years old, i was inspired by my grandad who was the British number one for 8 years, I have achieved 9 medals at national championships including being the under 23 national champion. I have been representing Great Britain at an international al level since I was 15. I achieved a highest world ranking of 11th as an under 17 fencer. I was also part of the under 20 Great Britain team that came 4th at the world championships in Verona in 2018. I have been in the Great Britain senior squad since May 2015 and have gone through this Olympic cycle, whilst it has been challenging and I am young in this sport i have learnt a lot and am ready to take on the challenge to attempt to qualify for Paris 2024. Alongside this I was ranked 12th In the world for under 23's, unfortunately i was deprived of my final two seasons at this level because of the Covid-19 pandemic.. Furthermore I believe that I am an easy character to get along with and am grateful for any support I get fencing is a very under funded sport at the present time and it takes us all around the world which you can imagine is not the cheapest. Thank you for reading
