I am addicted to Whitewater…

My name is Josh Smith, I am a very passionate Whitewater Kayaker and recently have started to chase the water a lot more, trying to find the best rivers and big drops. I have been kayaking for a while now alongside my job working as a Raft Guide in Aberfeldy, Scotland.

I feel I should be considered a sponsorship for many reasons. I am always on the river being active and covering what's going on through social media platforms, With my job as a Whitewater raft guide also I am always wearing Whitewater equipment so it will always be on show throughout the whole day. I dare to be the best, just a few weeks ago I ran a 28 foot waterfall here in Scotland and have some great footage from it. Doing this while with an audience, This location was a tourist hotspot and I had a few cameras on me at the time.

September 2022 I plan to move from Scotland over to Austria through the winter and Summer Seasons, I look forward to getting out there and exploring new rivers and meeting new people. I have my own self converted campervan which I live in full-time through summer. I have big goals for the future including finding new hidden rivers to paddle in Scotland but also exploring new rivers overseas. With my plans to start travelling and seeing more of Europe will open gates for me to exploring new rivers with new people. I also have a goal to enter some Whitewater races that are within Europe.

Instagram is my main use of social media. With 1,724 follows on Instagram, I have a good base following for uploading content and footage and it is on the rise slowly increasing as I get more footage out. I try to get my posts and footage out to kayak appreciation pages where they share the content to additional audience which relays back to me.
