New sales leadership for more growth at sports sponsorship start-up
(Hamburg, March 2022) Joschka Grabb has taken over the position of Chief Sales Officer (CSO) at sports sponsorship marketplace Sponsoo since March 1, 2022. Most recently, the 30-year-old worked for the German Volleyball Federation.
Joschka Grabb is the new Chief Sales Officer at Sponsoo in Hamburg. He complements the management team around CEO Andreas Kitzing and CTO Christian Kaspar. At Sponsoo, Grabb will lead the sales team which supports more than 15,000 athletes, clubs, events, and federations in their efforts to find sponsors.
Grabb is looking forward to the new challenge at the sports sponsorship start-up: "Sponsoo is an excellent platform for the easy digitalization and automation of sponsorship processes and thus has a lot of potential for companies and brands. As a passionate swimmer, promoting sports, especially niche sports, is also a matter close to my heart. That's why I'm looking forward to accompanying Sponsoo on this exciting path and pushing its growth even further." He is also enthusiastic about the corporate culture after the first meetings: "Right from the start, it was noticeable that a really good collaboration could develop here. An open, goal-oriented corporate culture as well as trust, appreciation, and a can-do mentality, but also a critical exchange - all this was there from the very first minute," says Grabb. So all the right conditions are in place for him to start at full speed together with his new sales and marketing colleagues at Sponsoo.
With Joschka Grabb, Sponsoo has gained an experienced leader in the areas of sales management, business development and project management. Most recently, the sports and event manager was head of the sales department at DVS Deutsche Volleyball Sport GmbH. Prior to that, Grabb was a team leader at Sportfive. Since 2017, he and his team had been responsible for successfully identifying, approaching and acquiring partners for all marketing-related projects involving the Hamburger SV.
