Description

M17 (since 2022) - as he is called by his friends and in the scene, was in on April 9th, 1999

Born in Mönchengladbach but grew up in Cologne.

Even his father was enthusiastic about sporting competitions, so he regularly took part in competitions and marathons in Moldova when he was young. His mother was born in Kyrgyzstan, shaped by an artistic family and an environment of musicians.

It was probably this mixture of competing sportively with others and developing creatively that brought M17 to freestyle dancing at the age of 11. He learned his first breakdance moves with his big brother in a dance school.

He quickly realized that you have to train a lot more to get to the top. In 2015 he celebrated his first successes, winning more and more battles in Germany, initially in the Junior & Kids category.

In 2018 he took first place at the German Championships in Saarbrücken and then, representing Germany, achieved second place in Israel at the World Championships. Since then, Mario has been invited to perform nationally and internationally, to teach and to judge as a jury. His dance specializes in explosive moves, musical aspects and his own creations of concepts.

Globally, Mario represents the dance groups "Bad Habits", "Good Timez Crew" and "GangstaSoul Int." Some of these are represented worldwide and are very well known

He is also a co-founder of the association No Limits eV (founded in 2020). Mario is currently acting as artistic director and organizing workshops related to hip-hop culture in the Cologne area. This already included the C'pop Festival.

Since 2021, Bboy M17 has been in the national Olympic squad for Germany and a member of the state squad for North Rhine-Westphalia. Together with Team Germany he is preparing for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
