Alexcia Andrade

Alexcia is a hard working determined athlete. She works extremely hard to make her goals a reality. As her parents we have seen her grow from strength to strength in Karate. 

Although she has faced many obstacles including Covid, she never let that get in her way putting in the hours over zoom sessions with her Sensei. Alexcia's drive to succeed is something I personally can learn from. Not only does she train normal hours at her Dojo, she goes the extra mile every week and puts in extra lessons one on one with her Sensei.

Her Achievements in the sport show just how dedicated she is with a total of 10 gold medals and was awarded Best Karateka overall at her Dojo for last year. She won gold for both her Kumite and Kata at South African Championships. 

Having been chosen to represent South Africa at the up coming world Karate championships is a dream come true for her. The hard work and dedication to the sport has paid off.  Which is why it is so important for us as her parents to do everything in our power to get her to USA. 

Unfortunately Karate is not seen as a "national" sport in South Africa so getting sponsors is a challenge on its own. Big companies and normal sport sponsors dont even look at Karate as an option to sponsor so its up to us as her parents to put it out there and ask for any donations towards getting her there.  

All funds raised will go towards her travel and accommodation in the USA.
