We are Erwin August Wang-Reissig from Tønsberg and Casper Opstvedt from Bergen, a Norwegian 29er sailing team with a clear goal: to see how far we can take our sailing and compete among the best internationally.
This year has been a big step in that direction. We qualified to represent Norway at the Youth Sailing World Championships in Vilamoura, Portugal, this December. On the way, we won the Norwegian ranking event we competed in, and finished 2nd overall and 1st U17 at one of the 29er EuroCup events. We are also both part of the Norwegian Sailing Federation’s Development Programme, where we train and develop alongside other young sailors working towards international and elite-level sailing.
What motivates us is pretty simple. We want to get better. We spend a huge amount of time training, competing, analysing races and learning how to work better together. In a 29er, everything happens quickly, and neither of us can perform without the other. Communication, trust and the ability to make good decisions under pressure are a huge part of what we do. These are qualities we want to carry with us both on and off the water.
Reaching the level we are aiming for, however, takes more than time and hard work. International sailing is expensive. Travelling to training camps and competitions, transporting the boat, coaching, accommodation, entry fees and equipment all add up.
That is why we are now looking for a few partners who would like to become part of our journey. We are not simply looking for a company to give us money and put its logo on our sail. We would much rather build a partnership where we can give something back and where you can follow our development over time.
As a partner, we can offer visibility on our boat, sails and equipment, as well as through our social media and content from training camps and international regattas. We can provide photos and videos that can be used in your own channels, share the story behind the partnership, and represent your company as we compete internationally. We would also be happy to visit your company and talk about our experiences with teamwork, communication, dealing with pressure and working every day towards a shared goal.
We believe there is something valuable in following two young athletes from the beginning of an international sporting journey, rather than only becoming involved once the results have already been achieved. Our ambition is to build long-term relationships with partners who want to grow with us as we take the next steps in our sailing careers.
Below, we have included our winter budget, a photo of us sailing at Hvasser, and an illustration showing where sponsor branding can be placed on our 29er.
We would love the opportunity to tell you more about our plans and hear whether a partnership could be interesting. We are always happy to have a short call or come by for a meeting.
Best regards,
Erwin August Wang-Reissig & Casper Opstvedt

In return, we want to be active partners rather than simply display a logo. We are very active on instagram where we regularly share content from training, regattas, travel and everyday life as a 29er team. This gives us the opportunity to naturally include our partners in our journey through photos, videos, stories and posts. We can also offer branding on our boat, sails and clothing, provide professional content from international events, and visit the company to share our experiences with teamwork, communication and performing under pressure.
