Hanna

I not only skate, I coach the younger kids and have received my accreditation. I do many sports at a high level, orienteering, rock climbing, adventure racing, athletics, and sailing. My get 2 go team qualified for nationals last year and came 6th, even with 3 injuries. This year I was awarded most valuable junior adventure racer and most improved junior navigator. I coach rock climbing at the local wall and work there as well. My kids have gone to place top 15 at aims, and one if them won a regional comp. In athletics im a field athlete, competing in discus, shot put and javelin, and winning all these in our schools athletics tournament. For sailing im a senior leader, having finished all my junior badges and teaching the younger girls to sail and valuable life skills, like how to navigate, survive in the wild, forage for food and more. I am a member of the JPC orienteering team, coming 4th in the standard relay this year at the Norh Island Champs. I also go to all the summernav events we have here in Rotorua. For artistic roller skating i have been with my club for 5 years and in that time I have coached for 2, won 3 consecutive national titles, won a national title in a discipline I just started, won 8 group national titles, been part of my show group for 4 years, won both my categories at Graeme Shepard this year, which is a nationally recognized competition, and received the oscar for best performance by a skater under 16 at a New Zealand Championships. In our club,i won the trophies for best performance by any skater, and highest total points in an areas competition. Alongside this, I am studying to become a judge. At school I play 2nd violin in our school orchestra, and at prizegiving I recieved awards for biggest contribution to music and most valuable musician. I recieved top in physical education, second in English, food and nutrition, science, math and social studies. I was awarded 3rd aggregate, and top junior female sportswoman. I am also a junior prefect at my school and a member of a lasalian organization that helps countries in strife. This year we sent baby blankets and 50 felt teddy bears that I handmade to hospitals in Ukraine. 

I also have really big goals, with a 3.8 GPA I am aiming to go to Auckland University to gain a bachelor's of science, majoring in cellular biology or ecology. I have applied to be part of the 2026 Marine Conservation youth program and am a member of the Rotorua Museum Youth Group.
