ABOUT ME

I am Jakob Rastetter, a 21-year-old German rower competing at international U23 level. Rowing has been a central part of my life for many years. My goal is to continue developing, achieve international success and ultimately make the transition to the senior level.

Alongside my sporting career, I will begin studying law in Hamburg in October 2026.

GOALS & RACING PLANS

The upcoming season will be my final year in the U23 category. My first objective is to succeed at the national selection trials and qualify for the international championships.

My main goal is to represent Germany once again at the U23 World and European Championships and compete for a medal. At the same time, I want to take the next step in my sporting development and prove myself internationally in the senior category. Therefore, gaining my first World Cup appearances at senior level is also an important goal for me.

Having already ranked among the best U23 athletes this year, I want to demonstrate that I can also compete at the highest level in the senior category despite my young age.

In 2028, I will transition fully into the senior category. With the Olympic Games in Los Angeles, this represents a major long-term goal. The upcoming season will therefore be an important step on my path towards the international elite.
