Kelsey Barnes

I am an up and coming athlete in wrestling, part of the team England futures program. I want to not only grow the sport of wrestling in the UK but also female participation. I am the UK senior national champion aswell as 8x national champion across age groups. i have recently made my debut commonwealth games in Birmingham as a medal match finalist, placing 5th at my first games. Also placed 8th at the U23 European championship whilst still being a junior. 

As a freestyle wrestler I receive no funding day to day with only 50% of costs competing and travelling abroad covered. I work a full time job to ensure I can afford to fulfil my dreams as well as training full time which can be quite challenging. I would love to work with a company or individual in helping me achieve my highest potential which right now is not possible due to my financial status and work.
