Maria Ntanouoly is a 2-time winter Olympian and is also a candidate for the IOC athletes commission in Beijing Winter Olympics 2022.

Beschreibung

When Maria Ntanouoly was young, she used to play a lot of sports, until a national ski coach came to her school and suggested she go cross-country skiing. Greece is not really known for winter sports but there is a great tradition of winter sports in her hometown, Naoussa, which sits in the north and also has two ski resorts with snow most of the time in the year. This helped maria practice winter sports a lot when she was a child which lead her to become a 2-time winter olympian.

Besides being great at winter sports she has also completed a Masters in Sports Administration and Technology and has been working as a Digital communication manager at International Fencing Federation. She is pursuing a dual career with her job in FIE and also as a professional cross country skier.
