Poinciana Youth Flag Football

Greeting Potential Supporters and Fellow Community Members!
 

My name is Michelle and we are The Sugarcane Foundation! The  Sugarcane Foundation is a local registered 501(c)(3) Local Non-profit organization based in Poinciana that seeks to help set the youth on the correct path, as well as help victims who have endured catastrophe, through no fault of their own.
 

We recently collaborated with the Poinciana Youth Flag Football League to provide youth activity services. We feel the youth in this area is underserved and believe that this program can help multiple community members. Together we are asking for help from the community to help us secure a field and purchase equipment for a youth football organization.
 

While there are a few youth sports programs in the area, not one organization offers activities for more than 2 seasons in a year. Through this partnership, we will offer fully paid scholarships to families who can’t afford the program due to recent tragedies. Any donations we receive would go to potentially providing a free sports activity for the youth of this community year round.
 

Unfortunately, there are no free fields in the community for organizations to provide youth services. The base fee for field rental is $32 an hour and it can get pricey when you add up practice and game hours. There are numerous other cost like jerseys, cleats, mouth pieces, footballs, field equipment, insurance, referee fees, etc…This makes it very hard to provide low cost opportunities for the youth.
 

Once again, our goal would be to eventually provide free activities for children all year round but we can’t approach that avenue without the help of the community. We are looking for tax deductible donations, equipment, volunteers, and any other resource that could help us on our journey.
