Samantha Weaver

Hi! My name is Sam and I'm a Kinesiology student-athlete at Penn State Harrisburg. I play softball, manage our ice hockey team, am a member of Kinesiology Club, participate in our Sport Psychology Research Lab, am apart of SAAC, am a sports information worker at PSH. Fun fact: I powerlift too & the most weight I've deadlifted is 315lbs!

I should be sponsored because I am a hard worker and I stay resilient no matter what I go through. I've had many barriers in my life but I have never given up on my goals--I take pride in my work ethic. No matter how hard things get, I'm going to lift that weight. I'm going to get that “A.” I'm going to be successful. I'm going to beat the odds. I want to inspire others--mainly women and athletes--to do the same no matter what people say about them, no matter what they supposedly can and cannot do, and no matter what they think about themselves. Sometimes we are our biggest critics, and we need to be less harsh on ourselves and know we are working our hardest, doing our best, and can succeed.

Having a sponsor would connect me to these people that I wish to inspire and make an impact on. I would love to expand my audience and reach women and athletes of all ages and help them remain resilient through any adversity that gets thrown their way.
