Sara Canini

I am proud to be the founder and current president of the Ontario Ospreys Rugby League Club—the first women’s rugby league club in Canada—where I continue to advocate for the growth of the sport and opportunities for female athletes. I am also the first Canadian female rugby league referee. This July, I have the opportunity to tour the UK with the Canada Ravens Rugby League team, and I am working toward earning my first international cap. Sponsorship will directly support this journey, as we still have to pay to play. By day, I am a Registered Nurse at The Hospital for Sick Children. As you help me represent Canada, you also help me inspire and continue to build a future with less financial barriers for the next generation of women in sport.

Sponsorship will be utilized for flights, accommodations, kit and travel expenses associated with travelling to the UK. Flying from Toronto to Wales, to Scotland, then home after 10 days abroad.
