Virginia Romeo

As a junior fencer, I have won 2 junior Swiss Championships (U20 in 2021 and U23 in 2024), as well as 4 Team Swiss Championships with my club, Lugano Scherma.  Beyond that, at international level I have ranked 6th at the junior individual World Championship in Cairo in 2021, and I have earned a Silver Medal at the U23 European Championships with the Swiss Team in 2022.

However, I am still only 21 y/o and my fencing path continues: in the 2023-2024 season, for the 3rd consecutive year I participate to the World Cup series as a member of the Senior Swiss National Team; in 2022, I have also attended the individual Senior World Championships in Cairo, Egypt. Now working hard to achieve more success.

Beyond fencing, I am a student in Energy Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano. And I am very proud to be able to advance my sports career and my academic studies at the same time!
