Hi, my name is Ziad Sakr. I am from Boston, United States, and I am a professional squash player.
My greatest passion is squash, which I train very hard every day. My goal is to become one of the best athletes in my sport, and I need your help to turn the impossible into a reality.
To excel, I need to be constantly pushing my limits. I am ready to work hard, but at the same time, I know that the road to success will be costly and long, especially now that I am committed to playing pro-squash full-time. By supporting me today, you are investing in something bigger than just a fundraiser. You're changing my life. Thank you for your support in advance.
I've been training hard day in and day out for a few years to get to the level I am at today. Today, I can say that my dream has never felt so close, and I need all the support I can get to afford the USD 6,000 price tag to cover my tournament and training expenses for the next 5–6 months.
All funds collected will be used towards my goal of making it to the top 50 in the ranking in 2024 and making it to the team in the LA 2028 Olympic Games. Expenses include travel to competitions, medical expenses, equipment, etc. for the next 5 months. I appreciate any donations and will be sure to post updates on my progress.
Below are some career highlights:
I am the 2012 British Junior Open champion and the first-ever squash player from Tanta, a city outside of the two major cities in Egypt, Cairo and Alexandria, to win that title. I am a former Trinity College squash team captain (Bantams), class of 2021, and hold the 2018 College Squash Association (CSA) National Team Championship "A" Division Title with Trinity College.
After completing my undergraduate studies at Trinity College and my graduate studies at Boston University, I started my journey on the professional squash tour after a 3-year break from the game. Starting at an 840 ranking in January 2023 and achieving a Highest World Ranking (HWR) of 182 in the Official Men's Squash World Ranking as of November 2023, less than 12 months from my return
