NCAA Division 1 basketball is the name given to the highest playing league for college basketball in the USA and therefore also the national university championship in basketball. College basketball is played at most universities in the USA. The NCAA is not actually a professional league, yet it is very professionally organized and the national championship in basketball still brings the NCAA 95% of its revenue. Often, NCAA Division 1 basketball serves as a springboard for young talent to make it to the NBA.
